About the Founder & Publisher
Kathy I. Regan, the founder and publisher of Our BerkshireGreen Publishing, formed the company in 2008 and launched their first publication, Our BerkshireGreen Magazine & Resource Guide (now known as Our BerkshireTimes magazine), in April of 2009. Kevin Regan (Kathy's husband), joined the team in 2013 as co-publisher and account representative.
Kathy began her career in graphic design but in the early '90s found it necessary to devote all of her time to studying alternative and integrative medicine, that not only saved her life (from stage IV cancer when chemo failed) but also opened a new world for her.
Friends suggested that Kathy write a book about her experiences, but life got busy, time slipped by, and she started a successful professional organizing company working with local businesses and nonprofit organizations. It wasn't until 2005, when Kathy and her husband Kevin and were blessed with a baby girl (that doctors said would not be possible), that she seriously started thinking about a way that she could become a stay-at-home mom, utilize her graphic design and organizing skills, and share the health and environmental information she had learned. Publishing a vibrant-living-focused community-minded magazine, in an area so rich with these resources proved to be the perfect solution.
Our BerkshireTimes Magazine is now your resource for local events, community news, personal growth, and vibrant living in the Berkshires, Massachusetts region, and beyond. It's neighbors talking to neighbors, and local professionals you may already know, recognize and admire, passionately sharing their knowledge, insights, and expertise. It's creative, fun . . . and different. It makes it easier than ever before to get to know and reach the heart of our community by helping us connect, share, grow, and prosper.
Our BerkshireGreen Publishing gives more than 40,000 readers the opportunity to connect and inspire one another through their free print and online publication, and growing online services. Magazines are distributed to more than 360 high-traffic locations throughout western Massachusetts, eastern New York, and southern Connecticut (convenient subscriptions for print issues are also available). If you would like to receive their informative, free monthly eNewsletter please join their mailing list at left.
Most of the editorial content in Our BerkshireTimes magazine is contributed by community members. Although material by professional writers is certainly welcome, Kathy & Kevin like to encourage anyone with a passion about what they do to submit material for consideration. Their goal from the beginning was to create a publication that would give the community the opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and inspire one another while helping to support our local economy.
